A UF system, also known as an Ultrafiltration system, is a water treatment technology that utilizes a semi-permeable membrane to remove suspended solids, bacteria, viruses, and some larger molecules from water. It is widely used in various industries and applications, including drinking water purification, wastewater treatment, industrial processes, and food and beverage production.
The UF system operates by applying pressure to the water, forcing it through the semi-permeable membrane. This membrane contains microscopic pores that allow water molecules to pass through while trapping and removing particles and microorganisms larger than the pore size. Typical UF membranes have pore sizes ranging from 0.01 to 0.1 micrometers.
